Debbie Webb is a state licensed advanced massage therapist. She graduated from BKO Center for Natural Therapies in 2000. She is a professional member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
I like to combine Swedish massage with other methods, such as deep tissue, myofascial release, sports massage, cupping, etc., to address the specific needs of my clients. I am specially certified in prenatal (pregnancy) massage. I have training in core work, myofascial release (connective tissue), precision neuromuscular therapy, touch for health, and cranial-sacral work.
Why I Do What I Do
I approach massage from an outcome-based perspective. I like to "comb" through the muscles, find all the knots, and eliminate them to the best of my ability within the time allowed. I use a variety of methods, with petissage (small, circular movements) as my primary one. I also utilize tools, with the client's permission, such as cups and a gua sha (a flat resin) to help smooth out restrictions in the muscle and connective tissue.
My passion is helping relieve chronic pain. I have fibromyalgia, so I know how it feels and what helps and what makes it worse. Many of my clients report their chronic headaches and migraines greatly reduce or stop with regular massage.
I am also really excited about helping people find ways to use their minds to release chronic physical, mental, and emotional patterns that perpetuate pain. It is not as hard as it sounds. It is mostly learning to choose new thought patterns and becoming aware of how and when to implement them (i.e., forming new habits in thought, the way you hold your muscles, and breathe). The results are stunning!
